Whew, our managers are stepping in and paying for the pizza. Tomorrow's lunch is saved!

My polling place is the neighborhood rec center (which is also my gym). The sign as you walk in informed everyone that voting was in the multipurpose room, line dancing was in the front gym, adult basketball was in the back gym, and clay handbuilding was cancelled for today because voting needed that room.
I kind of love that. It feels a little like Mayberry.
Also, Polgara, I'm going on a field trip to the Getty tomorrow.
Only just saw this, Kat--good thing you texted me!
I asked my father last night if he was working the elections today and he said "No, I'm not. I'm 90 years old and I'm just not willing to spend any of my few remaining days as a Republican!"
LOVE.
I'm all voted up, got my sticker and everything. And I got to spend my morning with Kat, so it's been a pretty good day so far.
I got to use one of my favorite lines at work today! Two different people apologized to me for swearing, so to the second I said, "What, because I'm such a fucking lady??" Hee.
Voting was more fun when it was at the local elementary school, but oh well. Need to call my bro and nag him to go vote today.
I am kid-free this afternoon, so I should be working. But I've been at it all day with almost no breaks, unless you count going to vote as a break.
Timelies all!
Voted on my way home from work. I'm looking forward to an end to political ads and robo-calls, at least for a little while. :)
Man, not only did I not get a change to read my election materials over lunch, I had to reheat my leftover lamb because it got cold as I tried to grab the occasional bite in between trying to process 400 lines of availability requests for my friends in Colombia.
On the plus side, I have what might as well be an infinite supply of leftover Halloween candy to help get me through the day.
I kind of love that. It feels a little like Mayberry.
That's great! That's one of the reasons I like goign to vote at City Hall, it feels very small-town-civic-pride. Especially whene there there's a dispa;y of artwork by Elementary school kids or something in the lobby.
Yay for Polgara and Jesse's good things, too! Both made me smile.
Voting was weird. I had to sign in and have my name crossed off a list at two different places to vote. Then I had to sign out to leave the building.
Voted, and ran into a friend at the polling place! Which is also the elementary school I went to. So that was satisfying all the way around.
Voted by mail in Colorado, but got to have lunch with a lovely lady who had her "just voted" sticker on. Made me happy. (Both the company and the sticker).
