I had a few trick-or-treaters at the office in the half hour between their start and me going home. Some real cuties - little darth vader always slays me. When I finally opened my bags of candy I was able to fill my plastic cauldron and my metal pumpkin dish and have plenty left over to give to my next-door-cube neighbor who had forgotten to bring in candy. And that's not including all the black and white candy I had gotten to, like, go with my costume (I tried a lollipop and it was black cherry flavored, yum).
I left the cauldron and black and white candy out on my desk with a sign to take some, I hope it'll at least have a good dent in it. Most of the kids were very politely only taking one piece so we'll see.
The s'more pies were not a hit - I had over a dozen still left. We did have a lot of desserts, though - two chocolate cakes, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, and chocolate chip cookies. One person told me they were good, and I overheard someone else saying it was too rich for her (which I can understand). I had one this morning and I like them, so, too bad I can't get them to you guys easily because I do not need to eat a dozen of these. I guess I will find out if they freeze okay. Oh, and now that the ganache has firmed up I can take them out of the muffin tin without them losing their shape.
Was not home for ToT time, went to see the Addams Family musical. Good production, I'm not sure I like the writing. Costume contest at intermissions which I won (due mostly, I think, to the emcee referring to my costume as American Horror Story). One of the guys was dressed as Bert Macklin, FBI which I don't think people were getting all the layers of.
