Well prepared calamari is the best, and badly prepared calamari is the worst.
If only you could tell without buying and tasting.
Laura, come back to RI, and I can take you to places with good fried calamari.
DH would totally go for that plan. I'll try yours and then get some other tasty delight for myself to share.
sj is correct about the calamari!
I got strawberries, cherries, and raspberries!! today! Plus a lot of other stuff. Tomorrow needs to be about cooking. And possibly quickeling!
Oh and Belgian waffles at the Belgian waffles stand!
Got my mother to help me go through the last box of my grandmother's personal stuff. I now have a box of gloves and purses I have to figure out how to sell. I'm guessing there's someone at the local upscale flea market who would be interested, and I just have to find them.
I'm so sorry, Zen. Sucks to be stuck inside and forced to read or watch recorded entertainment.
That would be sad! What's sadder is, I'm stuck cleaning the house.
Cleaning would be a lot easier and simpler if I did a little bit each day. You'd think by now this lesson would have sunk in, but nooo. At heart I'm still an adolescent, spending more time and energy avoiding the thing than I'd spend doing it.
Someone will be thrilled to get those gloves and purses, I'm sure.
I should be cleaning, but I haven't had a proper Day of Rest in a couple of weeks and I really want one, so the squalor is getting a reprieve. Next weekend is three-day, maybe I'll get more done then...
It's too early in the day for calimari but I think come the afternoon that would be delicious.
Saw my cousin yesterday and sent him home with 'priceless family heirlooms' ie, my grandma's fin de siecle chair set. Yay for big items going to a good home! Plus just always great to see him, and he and his wife both looked great. (She's the one with the herniated disc, so it looks like the epidural does a good job with pain management.)
I have an article to share with all y'all about the place I lived back in college. It is very weird to see someone wrote a college thesis about the building where I lived, even though I can see why it would be an interesting place to write about. And it's very college thesis-y in that it doesn't really offer an understanding of what the place was like and what happened, much less why it happened. On the other hand, it is a good overview, and it quote and describes people I knew and events I remember.
