Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

It's too early in the day for calimari but I think come the afternoon that would be delicious.

Saw my cousin yesterday and sent him home with 'priceless family heirlooms' ie, my grandma's fin de siecle chair set. Yay for big items going to a good home! Plus just always great to see him, and he and his wife both looked great. (She's the one with the herniated disc, so it looks like the epidural does a good job with pain management.)

I have an article to share with all y'all about the place I lived back in college. It is very weird to see someone wrote a college thesis about the building where I lived, even though I can see why it would be an interesting place to write about. And it's very college thesis-y in that it doesn't really offer an understanding of what the place was like and what happened, much less why it happened. On the other hand, it is a good overview, and it quote and describes people I knew and events I remember.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

FCM: Flo from PrudentialProgressive, Lily from AT&T, Pinochiette from DIRECTV?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Flo from Progressive (Files and Records?) is the only one of those I know. Oh, wait, I have seen the DirecTV ads and I find the whole "not you, hon, just those other wires" vibe of those disturbing - so, do I chuck her or console her out of sympathy for the sad world she is trapped in? It's a thinker.

I am managing to accomplish one thing today that I've been meaning to do for a long time: making tea in Raq's silver pot and drinking from my wedding china, because sometimes I am fancy like that. It's pretty nice.

My nurse wants to wait until 3 or 4 to come today. I'm going to curl up in a ball and whimper until then.

That waffle stand smelled awesome! I should be doing something productive, but I'm catnapped on the couch.

Curling up in a ball sounds like a reasonable response.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It is very weird to see someone wrote a college thesis about the building where I lived, even though I can see why it would be an interesting place to write about.

Seriously! On both counts.

Brought everything to Goodwill! Now the room is doable. Tonight I'll deal with paper, and clean tomorrow/during the week, and I'll be ready for houseguests! Phew. I was afraid there would be more surprises, but no, it was mostly bedding that was easy to get rid of.

Yay for something being easier than expected! Always good.

Yay Jesse for getting rid of things! Yay Burrell for handling your sister's stuff. And jealous of Laura's mangos. Dang!

I did not drink anything last night at Pride (and yet still woke up with a headache), but mostly because it was gross out. I hit up Trans* Pride, and wnadered around a bit, then went to my country dancing, then to a friend's birthday at a local restaurant, then met up with friends who are spending the weekend at my place at the lesbian bar beergarden. Sadly, the temperature had dropped significantly by then, and it was pouring rain. So the beergarden was not so much fun, and we didn't stay long. BOO, I was unable to scope out hotties! Sigh. But this morning I am eating granola with some strawberry rhubarb chia seed pudding that I made from scratch yesterday. I feel very accomplished.
