Does anyone have recs for finding a recruiter or where to find jobs? I haven't done this in six years, so I'm not sure where the best place is to look these days.

I'm sure my family won't be happy if I move, so I figure I should at least attempt to look for what's available before going the transfer route.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Stupid smoke alarm started to go off again. There is no smoke. If there were a fire, the other four alarms in the house would be going off. I pulled that alarm down and took its battery out. I'll call an electrician in to look at the wiring there; this is the second time in a year that alarm has gone off for no reason.

But of course, I'm freaking out over it. What if there's a smoldering fire in the walls that will kill us all after I fall asleep? Well, I'm probably not sleeping tonight.

I can relate, Zen. When I had the furnace looked at, the guy who went under the house was taken aback by how old it was, and he kept talking about making sure my CO2 detector worked. I've lived in this house for 8 years with no apparent trouble, but now I'm terrified to turn the furnace on. My CO2 detector has fresh batteries, but still.

So far, I think I am enjoying Agent Cooper more on The Good Wife than Agents of SHIELD. How fun having him on two shows I watch!

Connie, this sort of worry is exhausting because you can't solve it - you don't know if there's actually reason to worry or not! I'm worn out and feel like crap. I'm going to go to bed and try to sleep... on the sheets I forgot to wash today, crap. Oh well. The washing machine will still be there tomorrow.
