And NOW, thanks to you people, I have a ticket to Frankenstein on Wednesday!
Natter 73: Chuck Norris only wishes he could Natter
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Ooh, now I think I want to bring dip and crackers to one of my potlucks coming up (three in the next two weeks, I am not ready).
Popeyes drive-through achieved. That dinner was probably as much food as I usually eat in a day; I am very full. Nom nom nom.
I just saw Frankenstein with JLM as creature version last week. Two years after I saw the other version. Contrary to popular opinion, I enjoyed this version more. The lighting design is still the standout part though.
Oh really? I believe my choices are Cumberbatch-as-creature tomorrow and Miller-as-creature on Wednesday. I really don't think I can manage both.
I have cleaned and tasked and erranded. Laundry is in progress and the ball game is on. (Go Royals!)
For those who haven't seen Frankenstein, I'm going to spoiler-font a trigger that you may want to know about before going:
There's a really disturbing and explicit rape scene in the production.
Just an FYI. I'm not the only one who was upset that nobody warned me.
I think I may have mentioned this guy before, but there's a player on the Packers named Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.
Thanks for the warning, shrift.
Oh, I didn't even pay attention to who was in which part! I guess you can't really go wrong.
Here is the obituary for my dad's best friend. I will be coming out for the celebration of life next week.
One of my favorite memories of him was backpacking with my dad, Sandy, and his son (who is about my age) into Yosemite and camping out. We were sitting around the fire cooking dinner when I looked past Sandy and saw a bear. I said "a bear" very calmly and no one reacted, then I was a bit more emphatic and they turned and looked. The bear was maybe 10 ft behind them. The son and I got sent to sit on a rock in the river (cause bears would avoid the river???) while they banged pots and pans to scare the bear away.
