I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

So now I have met my parents' estate planner and know where they keep the wills and trust documents. That was interesting. In short, they appear to have sensible plans that I should be able to execute when the time comes.

And my dad told me he is leaving me his grandfather's sword, and I'd better take care of it or he will haunt me. So that's good, because I had the impression that sword was lost.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Ack, I really need to do that.

I am so relieved that they are being totally responsible and just getting this shit done AND keeping me informed of the parts I need to know. Truly grateful.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

My mom and dad had it done a few years back. My sister is the executor, and we get a 60(her/40(me)split of the estate, which I am FINE with, because she lives at home and helps a lot, and also because my folks have helped me more than her financially through the years.

And we get along fine, so it will entail no family clusterfucks.

I'm going to a memorial for my dad's best friend in a couple of weeks and I'm going to take that opportunity to ask him what his plans are. I'm sure he has discussed them with his wife, but I have no idea what his wants would be.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My sister has made me executor of her will and I don't want to do it, but her kids would lose their minds so I have to. I can only hope she doesn't die, ever. Because I love her and stuff, but also so I don't have to.

Glam, move to Seattle, not the southeast!

What meara said!

We can have a Seattle commune!

Currently I'm trying to convince my coworker not to move back to Texas, and instead to magically kick the renters out of the third house in the triplex so it would be me, her, and her BFF (who lives in the middle townhouse). Plus any roommates. That would be fun!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If you want to move where meara is, take to the air. The PNW is just a hint.
