I'm going to a memorial for my dad's best friend in a couple of weeks and I'm going to take that opportunity to ask him what his plans are. I'm sure he has discussed them with his wife, but I have no idea what his wants would be.

My sister has made me executor of her will and I don't want to do it, but her kids would lose their minds so I have to. I can only hope she doesn't die, ever. Because I love her and stuff, but also so I don't have to.
Glam, move to Seattle, not the southeast!
What meara said!
We can have a Seattle commune!
Currently I'm trying to convince my coworker not to move back to Texas, and instead to magically kick the renters out of the third house in the triplex so it would be me, her, and her BFF (who lives in the middle townhouse). Plus any roommates. That would be fun!
If you want to move where meara is, take to the air. The PNW is just a hint.
Oh yeah, I need to do my will. Especially now that I'm a real estate mogul.
I get all kinds of emailed receipts and stuff from some same name woman in Alabama. But I also get stuff like confirmations or notices about student aid and other support programs for a same name in Nunavut, which I feel really bad about.
I tried to track that person down once because this shit seems important. And learned that oddly enough there are two by my name in Nunavut. And the other one is kind of a bitch. Or gets a lot of duplicate email herself and is over it.
We are looking to relocate to the southeast
I endorse this plan. Florida Keys. You know you want it.
So today is wear-a-sportsball-shirt-to-work day (not the official name for the relaxing of the dress code, but pretty descriptive) and all my Giants and Saints clothes are in the laundry, so I am opting for my Greendale Community College shirt. Go Human Beings!
Ah, sportsball. (Go Giants!)
I'm now the primary executor for my mom & stepdad's estate, and they made a point of showing me where everything is stashed - I mean, filed. Barndad kept apologizing for the morbidity of the topic, and I told him I was just happy that they had thought about it and left me a clear trail of paperwork and whatnot.
My folks' wills and stuff are [redacted]. As my mom explained, the lawyers put it all in these pretty binders to be displayed on a bookshelf, but their bookshelves are overflowing with books. I'm glad they told me, that is not the first place I would have looked.
Edited because maybe that shouldn't be on the internet...
