Oh, at first it was confusing. Just the idea of computers was like — whoa! I'm eleven hundred years old! I had trouble adjusting to the idea of Lutherans.

Punishingly Intricate

I just signed up for an edX class on data analysis. It seems to be covering stuff I should know for my job. I hope I'm smart enough to understand it and committed enough to actually follow through on it! I did pay for it so that should help. I know people go to actual school and work full time all the time but that seems so hard to me right now.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I just signed up for an edX class on data analysis.

I'm doing the Data Science specialization on Coursera. So far, haven't really learned anything other than how to use the software that we'll be using for the rest of the classes, but I'm figuring that the classes past the intro one will be teaching more.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I saw an article with the headline, "Arctic town cancels Halloween on account of polar bears". It made me think of Matilda.

I made the mistake of buying Halloween candy I like. I may have to put it somewhere difficult to get to.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Graham Norton

I love his show. Throw three or four celebrities who may or may not know each other together, give them some wine, ask a few leading questions, and film the shenanigans. I was really trying to give Taylor Swift the benefit of the doubt, and she did get off a couple zingers and held onto her dignity well enough, but she seemed to be struggling to keep up.

On the other hand, there was a guy on Mike Rowe's new show, a guy who creates vintage-style signs, who was an English major from Yale, and I was about ready to marry him before his segment was over. Mike looked like he was, too.

I really enjoy the genealogy show. I'm watching the one with Ming Tsai now.

Mike Rowe! The only reason I'd consider cable again!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

San Francisco loves Halloween way too much to push it off 10/31. It's practically a High Holiday here.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Wait, the Mike Rowe show is on already? Why did I not know this?
