Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

Good luck Kat and Grace!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Good luck Kat and surgery~ma for Grace!

Seconded!

The people in the townhouse next to mine have a Rottweiler. She's a delightful goofball, but she has a nice deep bark that she shares with anyone who walks up on my porch. This suits me fine.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sophia, you know that's a nightmare for a lot of people, right?

Just saying, on so many levels.

My sister burst her cosplay cherry! She was out of place because it was a cultural exchange with Japan and she went as Selena Meier (I HAVE THE PERFECT DRESS), but she had the best time learning more about anime and manga than the teenagers who cornered her in B&N in Florida a week or so earlier had taught her. Time of her life.

She cosplayed before me....am sad...am still not intending a cosplay event, but hers was perfect in size, and I teared up at the dark-skinned J'cans doing Death Note, etc. If someone says he's NOT Doctor Who and he doesn't seem to be Inspector Spacetime and it has something to do with Japanese, who's he likely to be?

Oh, and Grace is on a surgery roll. I have all confidence.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Sounds like a too busy day, Kat. I hope the event goes well, and even more I hope the surgery is a complete success. Like ita, I have all kinds of confidence it will.

I was supposed to go into work today, but am once again stuck taking laundry in to the laudromat. Arrgh! I knew my husband was like this when I married him, but honestly I am beyond ready for him to stop putting up obstacles and buy the damn washer already.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I feel like doing nothing at all today, and I am on vacation so I could indulge myself. But I probably shouldn't. Well, we'll see how it goes.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Sophia, you know that's a nightmare for a lot of people, right?

Just saying, on so many levels.

I do have a recurring kitten nightmare, where first I find a kitten, then another, then another, then they are crawling out of rugs and closets, and they are all shapes and sizes (all kitten sized or smaller), and I accidentally step on some and I can't take care of them all.

I was enjoying my little orange kitten/son in this dream though.

I have that same nightmare (the crawling all around and stepping on them one) only with slugs and sometimes jillifonts. And one time with dead bodies. That dream was particularly unpleasant.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Interview in half an hour. Brace yourselves.

Here's my plan for sliding in that I know an IT director (who the fuck let him do that???)--I get a very good sense of morale within IT in your company culture from a friend who's been working there for 8 years now.

That should let him ask if he wants, right, but not seem name droppy?

I don't think I ever dream about kittens.

Our wings are not tired.

I am fairly certain kittens have not played any role in my dreams. That I can recall.
