Nice perks.
Well, they get the publicity, so it works for them.
Timelies all!
Raining again here. It's supposed to clear up by the weekend, when my folks are here. Still annoying, though.
Somebody brought in pumpkin pie. I am having a piece.
Possibly the first "pumpkin spice" thing I've had this Fall.
Delicious.
I'm so glad Boss's Day is not generally a thing for us. I used to have a direct report who would give me a card and a gift cert for a coffee shop and it was so uncomfortable because NO.
This year I only knew about it because one of my team sent me an ecard that read "Happy Boss's Day to someone I'm sure would give me the day off if I had ebola." That I can live with.
Long story short: I'm taking emergency care of a diabetic cat, and all the instructions I have for insulin injections is that he gets between 2 and 4 "units" depending on how much he's eaten. In several places, it says "units". And the needles I have, they're marked in MLs. So when they say 'unit' how much does that translate to?
I really don't want to kill this cat.
I just realized that a song I have heard on the radio and liked is by Taylor Swift.
I don't know what to do with this information.
Huh. When I had shoot up the cat duty there was no dosing. Seems like an important detail.
If the needles provided by owner, generally 1 tick mark= 1 unit. For example, I have 3/10cc syringes. They contain 30 units and are marked as such. It's a teeny amount. I'd aim low (the worst case effects aren't as dangerous short term as too high. Is in the immediate.)
