Go sarameg, very impressive! And hey, tell your current job if you get fed up, you've got another offer? :)

I feel like I should ask questions about cilantro and muffalettas.

That is kind of an awesome cover letter indeed. Dig it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I feel like I should ask questions about cilantro and muffalettas.

Hee.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I feel like I should ask questions about cilantro and muffalettas.

Those do seem indicated as follow-up questions.

(Also, since I see him regularly-and have stood on his shoulder- gonna keep him in my back pocket for bouncing numbers off of and getting insider quotes from. Outfit is also a big local plumber.)

I see what you did there.

I confess -- I am applying for that assistant job.

AND THE LURKERS SUPPORT ME IN EMAIL!

Actually, I am taking the sample edit tests for a line editor position with Samhain publishing, so wish me lurk. I'm venturing back into the freelancing fray -- slowly. I'm nervy about it, since I totally froze from depression shell-shock last time.

Was wondering why finger felt so hot for the past few hours. Bruised as fuck. I'm sure I did it in today's adventures, but I'm amazed I didn't notice until now. I'm way too good at this... (And really, how common is bruising the soft tissue between differing joints? I do it often.)

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Re: sending nail polish through USPS (as discussed in Press briefly) --

As per USPS guidelines:

Examples of items that may be mailable but have specific restrictions…

Nail polish is on the list.

451.3

A2. Packaging and Marking: Screw caps with a minimum of one and one–half turns, soldering clips, or other effective means must be used to ensure a secure closure.

A3. Glass and other breakable containers more than 4 fluid ounces and any containers over 32 fluid ounces must be cushioned within a sealed, waterproof container such as a can or a plastic bag, and must be packed within a strong and securely sealed outer packaging.

So it looks like nail polish CAN be mailed, as long as appropriate precautions are taken.

FYI.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just lied flat out and said no when the postal employee asked me if I was mailing anything liquid, flammable, etc.
