Was wondering why finger felt so hot for the past few hours. Bruised as fuck. I'm sure I did it in today's adventures, but I'm amazed I didn't notice until now. I'm way too good at this... (And really, how common is bruising the soft tissue between differing joints? I do it often.)

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

the sparrow flies south for the winter

Re: sending nail polish through USPS (as discussed in Press briefly) --

As per USPS guidelines:

Examples of items that may be mailable but have specific restrictions…

Nail polish is on the list.

451.3

A2. Packaging and Marking: Screw caps with a minimum of one and one–half turns, soldering clips, or other effective means must be used to ensure a secure closure.

A3. Glass and other breakable containers more than 4 fluid ounces and any containers over 32 fluid ounces must be cushioned within a sealed, waterproof container such as a can or a plastic bag, and must be packed within a strong and securely sealed outer packaging.

So it looks like nail polish CAN be mailed, as long as appropriate precautions are taken.

FYI.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just lied flat out and said no when the postal employee asked me if I was mailing anything liquid, flammable, etc.

IIRC, when I got The Box, nothing had leaked, and everything was done up in Zip-loc bags and bubble-wrap anyway.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

So THAT's where all the bubble wrap went! dammit, no wonder we're always bruised!

Oh yeah, the packing was very well-done!

Oh, ffs, looks like I'll be on my fourth? Fifth? French press this year. I don't know what changed this year, but I'm breaking them with alarming frequency. Time to go stainless, I guess.

Plaster is dry! Will start sanding! As soon as I finish my coffee.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Lexan is also an option. I have a couple of plastic french presses, they're fine. (I just took a look at our Bonjour french presses and the only all stainless steel is $80! I'm sure I didn't pay anything like that much for the one I have)

It's raining!

We had All the Rain here yesterday, plus a couple of small tornadoes.
