Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

It is well past 11am, how annoying of them!

I just chugged 32 oz of Gatorade. That and bananas are today's nutrition. Oh, and a pot of coffe. Hm.

Make that 64 oz.

I think tonight's swim might be sucky.

I'm avoiding work, because I had a nightmare about it last night--SO classic--dreamt that I couldn't find the place I was going, and then when I got there they were refusing to do any work for me, and then I suddenly realized I also was wearing the wrong clothes, and then I was trying to change but my shirt was like, made of balloon-type material and I was just stretching it but not making it any more appropriate...yeah, that was fun.

But at some point I have to do some work.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I just tried to alt-tab on my desktop keyboard to change apps on my phone.

Maybe I should have some lunch.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Got back last night. (As it turned out, we ended up going to sleep around the time we normally do on dance practice nights.) Need to start cleaning the house for my parents' visit this weekend. Bleah.

Forgot to get directions again! But now my hair is cut, so yay for that.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Well, one of the applicants to be my assistant knows how to make a cover letter stand out (the ellipses are where I've skipped stuff):

"I am a very detail-oriented individual... I use fonts like Garamond so that people can tell the difference between a lower-case "l," the number "1," and a capital "I." I am a champion of the Oxford comma... I like football. I play board games. I watch Doctor Who. I run marathons."

I feel like I should ask questions about cilantro and muffalettas.

Got a job offer in the pool tonight. Or really, a compliment. When I pulled off my swim cap, I found a clump of plaster and was bitching about plastering to the guy I was sharing a lane with. Discussion meandered into what jobs we'll do ourselves and what we won't. He works in hvac for a local outfit and was all, wait, you do that and that yourself? I hardly know anyone who can do that themselves! (Pointed remark about his field, really?) Well, outside of the trade. You could totally work for us!

It would take me three times as long as you guys.

It.always.does.

Heheh.

I was like I'm cheap, but I have limits. I won't drain the bleeder tank on the boiler myself. Turns out he hates that part of the job.

Anyway, it was nice validation.

Go sarameg, very impressive! And hey, tell your current job if you get fed up, you've got another offer? :)

I feel like I should ask questions about cilantro and muffalettas.

That is kind of an awesome cover letter indeed. Dig it.
