A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Go, Jessica!

And yeah, Allyson, it is none of their business. "I had some health issues that were really painful to treat, and I had to take time off to treat and recover."

People are giving you good options; most people will be expressing concern over your health, and are just going to be glad to see that you're back.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Quiet day at work. Aside from lab meeting, I had nothing to do.(There's a few projects that are waiting on information before I can start.)

A weird question just went through my head--it would be correct for Sir Elton John to present himself as Sir Reginald Dwight, wouldn't it? Do such celebrities keep their non-stage names as their legal names? Or is it one of those annoying "it depends" things?

I think I am once again going to miss the wine tasting on the plaza tonight. I just don't feel like doing anything other than curling up on the couch to watch TV, although I will open a bottle of rosé for that, because I have one and that sounds good. Missed last week because by the time I got done with my run (which I am also skipping tonight) I didn't feel like it. And will miss next week because that's Box o' Meat day. But that still leaves the last 3 Thursdays of the season.

I like.

I'm curious about this. Been on my mind with the whole FB flap over drag names not being real names. How is that different from stage names?

I just have this image of a very nit-picking British etiquette master insisting on calling Elton John "Sir Reginald", to the confusion of everyone who doesn't know the name.

ION, I found the most perfect fic summary ever: "That time Tony gave Bucky a therapy llama."

The story's hysterical. I'll put the link in the fic thread.
