My random connection was filling me in on some of this. She said the nearly THC-free stuff (I'm blanking on the name) isn't really seen much in California (it's not where the money is), but that you can still get it really low. And if you're taking it at bedtime anyway (her recommendation), it doesn't matter as much.

High Indica and Satvia strains. I take a tincture made with those strains to help with the insomnia.

OMG. My project manager, who has always been difficult, has gone off the rails. Her last email to me I seriously want to respond with "fuck you, I am not an idiot for being unable to read your mind, and I won't do a shit ton of work hoping it might be what you wanted, if you won't give me actual directions"

As for me, the boss who mostly ignores me (and is the guy who LAID ME OFF last year, let us not forget) came by my office to inform me that they got permission to hire (the org. had been in a hiring freeze) for, basically, the position I am filling.
He made it very clear he wanted me to apply for it.
I am chronically incapable of confrontation, and was only able to boggle at him, and then say "Thanks for the heads-up!"
Please dear sweet jebuslug, let me get an awesome job before I have to decide whether to stay here forever. The work is getting some better, but this team is where careers go to die.

The employer who asked if they could contact my references didn't do so. And they told me I didn't get the job. I guess that's better than talking to my references and then saying "Nope." I'd be all paranoid about my references then. Still, I'm a bit unhappy about it.
