I've reached the point in the day where I've lost all motivation to do anything but flip tables, so I'm filling out paperwork to get a flu shot tomorrow.

The ID badges at my workplace are called PIV badges. Still makes me amused to see that acronym.

Oh, noooo.
I love witenbof. I need to remember it for days like today. My husband's great-aunt died, and yesterday his mother, who is approaching the end of her treatment for breast cancer, told us she has to have a hysterectomy because of a 50/50 shot of uterine cancer.
Oh no, Dana! My best to your husband and his family.

I have never heard of "the DRC" meaning Detroit Rock City
I'm sure my friends and I just made it up. I mean, not that Detroit Rock City isn't a thing, but no one calls it the DRC! (It's just too hard to spell deh-twah, the other thing I call it....)

Yummy choices! Although apologies to meara, as I am likely to make it to Glendale far sooner than I am to Seattle. Mmmm... dumplings...
So my possible Ginormous Work Headache is that my desktop hard drive is dying and it appears that the files on it were not migrated over to the new university-run servers even though I followed their directions. So I may or may not have lost 10+ years of data. Ta da!
I'm trying to quell my panic by reminding myself that lots of the materials are on my personal computer and hard copies of almost everything is filed away somewhere. Rec letters will need to be written from the top, but oh well.
