Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Fap = commonly-used onomatopoeic representation of the sound of male masturbation. For ex: the big leak of stolen nude pics of celebrities was called "The Fappening"

(At least I managed to say with a straight face that the name might be an issue because internet slang without reflecting on the truly fappy nature of another advisory committee when we already had several.)

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Brenda, I hope it's bruising and resolves.

A previous bit in the thread reminds me of a nearby elementary named "Bugg." A friend with kids there had to convince a well meaning (I assume) teacher to not tell her students "Have a Buggerific summer!"

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ahaha!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Skimmed --- tommy, Steph, those were some funny stories!

Even before Buffy, I use a lot of Britishisms, esp. in the classroom, when most people don't know what they mean. I think I say "bugger" and "bloody" every day in some context.

ita, I hope you are OK! Jesus Christ jumping, you don't need anything else to happen to you!

msbelle, if you end up NOT borrowing DCP's blu-rays of Orphan Black, hit me up, if you are down with aheming.

Lessee...what's on our fall watch list? It's a busy one this year!

Edit: Grr, I just did this nice list of TV but it got et, so:

Sleepy Hollow

Shield

SPN

Brooklyn 99 (Dan and I aren't usually into sitcoms, but one bored afternoon, we watched a couple of eps on-demand and were like "Holy shit, this is really funny!")

Constantine

AHS: Freak Show

Outlander

The Walking Dead

Dr Who

I'm looking at How to Get Away With Murder. We shall see.

And Orphan Black when it comes back in the winter.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I had to caution a good friend that DTF didn't mean what she thought it meant. She had been posting something on FB about "yay DTF!" of "DTF FTW!" or some such and making some of her friends scratch their heads. Turns out she's a big fan on Din Tai Fung dumplings.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I just had to look up what DTF meant yesterday.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Turns out she's a big fan on Din Tai Fung dumplings.

I support this interpretation and would like it come into wide use.

I do want to try it (Din Tai Fung that is). I've never been.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I've had soup dumplings, which were yummy enough, though honestly I'd prefer to have my soup dumpling-adjacent, not likely to squirt out all over me when I take a bite.
