I am, as ever, reminded of the time I had to tell coworkers that they couldn't use the phrase "my box" in the title of a curriculum for teen girls.
Or the time my big boss at the looniversity presented her proposal for a program to be called the Faculty Advisory Program.
My boss belongs to the PWP group.
In NS, were working though license plates in the form AAA-000. They recently got to the F's. While they didn't issue any with the letter sequence FAG, they were not savvy enough to also hold back on FAP.
Observe my ignorance--what is FAP? Other than a sound effect?
Fap = commonly-used onomatopoeic representation of the sound of male masturbation. For ex: the big leak of stolen nude pics of celebrities was called "The Fappening"
(At least I managed to say with a straight face that the name might be an issue because internet slang without reflecting on the truly fappy nature of another advisory committee when we already had several.)

A previous bit in the thread reminds me of a nearby elementary named "Bugg." A friend with kids there had to convince a well meaning (I assume) teacher to not tell her students "Have a Buggerific summer!"

Even before Buffy, I use a lot of Britishisms, esp. in the classroom, when most people don't know what they mean. I think I say "bugger" and "bloody" every day in some context.

I had to caution a good friend that DTF didn't mean what she thought it meant. She had been posting something on FB about "yay DTF!" of "DTF FTW!" or some such and making some of her friends scratch their heads. Turns out she's a big fan on Din Tai Fung dumplings.
