Wow, I'm behind here. First Lee, my deepest condolences.
And Aurelia, congrats!
And everyone else, hiya. Just leaving New England after my cousin's wedding. Whirlwind trip and drama involving members of my family not showing up because their children weren't invited (seriously?!?), but otherwise a wonderful trip.
Welcome home, Lee. I think you get to wallow a bit if you want to.
A beautiful hot day for the Alzheimer's walk this morning, and I think a good time was had by all! (Except my slightly whiny six-year-old cousin.) Thanks for joining us, Theo!!
YAY, AURELIA!!
I made macaroons for the first time last night. Used parchment paper for the first time, made a sizing mistake with the cookies (too big, had to reshape all of them, was worried about over, since it acted weird the other night.)
But they were DELICIOUS! I did a really good job, and I'm proud of myself. New recipe!
Also, WOO JESSE & THEO!!!!
Way to go with the walking and the fundraising and the cookies and the glayvin!
Timelies all!
Sitting in a workshop called "Belt-it-out songs"
I am striving to be an obedient servant to the pomodoro timer today. So far so good.
I'm excited that I am feeling much better -- was afraid the walk would be it for me today -- so I think I'm going to make this elaborate baked shells in roasted pepper cream sauce I've had my eyes on!
Brava walkers!
I'm bummed: it's a cloudy day and it would be nice to bake, but the oven won't work without power at that outlet, damn it.
What I need to do today is hang some pictures and clean house and do laundry. But I ran nearly 4 miles this morning and I would really like to just laze around. Sigh.
