The California Burrito thing is weird. I was just ordering Greek food and they had a California pita that had French Fries, and I thought it was really weird. I associate Califprnia with sushi and tri tip. And then I come here and there are California burritos

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
There is apparently a restaurant near here that has them, I am tempted to go get one for lunch. I don't really want to go out to lunch today, though. Maybe this weekend some time.
The internet is leading me to believe it is specifically a San Diego thing. Epic, Cass, care to weigh in?
Possibly we just read the same article, -t!
I really just skimmed the first page of Google results.
In actual Greece you can get a (chicken or pork souvlaki or gyros) pita with fries included. (My vegetarian friend used to get the fries and no meat, which always boggled the pita guys.) They did not call it Californian, though.
I am trying to find scholarly articles for a friend on the topic of how women's arguments are systematically discounted/derailed by being called "too emotional" (either in online debate, or in person) and coming up completely bupkis. It is seriously making me feel like a bad librarian.
But I mean, keywords like "derailing" and "tone argument" get me nooothing.

There are definitely California Burritos on many menus hereabouts, but I've never had one to speak to its contents. I tend not to be very adventurous with food, so the unfamiliar is sometimes greeted with fear. The only thing that I would assume from the name is that there should be avocado. Let me see if any of the menus in my file drawer have a description...
Caliente Mexican Food, just down the street, has a California Burrito on the menu ($4.75), but no description. Checking website (oops, menu was old, $6.49). Here's the description:
Voted one of the best burritos by our local school students, our California burrito comes with our marinated Angus steak wrapped in a 16″ flour tortilla with Sour cream, Cheese, Fries, Salsa and Guacamole.
Sorry, with my lactose intolerance, I can't offer to taste test for y'all.
Just spent a small fortune on senior portaits for CJ (and I got one of the smaller packages). KCD only wants one, so I'm covering the rest of the cost and I got caught up in all the options. Will be a while before we have them in hand. Now a days the packages don'te automatically include wallet size photos. Instead, you get "web files, perfect for posting on Facebook, Instagram..." but not high enough resolution to reprint your own photos.
