My friends' British pub serves a FF butty, which is basically fries on a bum.
Is this like body shots, but with fries?

fries on a bum.
I just needed to see that again.
Fries made their way into a lot of incongruous things in C&Eastern cuisine.
I'm not a fan. I don't generally like potatoes+carbs. Never have. Pierogi is completely wasted on me.
One guilty pleasure for me down here is the french fry poboy. french fries with roast beef gravy, dressed. Yum. Hm, I think I know what I might go get for lunch. Or at least where to go for lunch. (Parasol's)
I don't get 'em dressed. (Domilese's)
It bugs me when my job makes me do something that drives me nuts.
(Regarding the age of patients in an article, anyone 18 years or older is referred to as a man or a woman. Anyone younger than 18 years is referred to as a boy or a girl. But when the group is of mixed ages -- like 5-75 years -- we have to refer to them as males and females. Even in noun form. There aren't sufficient words to convey how much I LOATHE the use of "male" and "female" as nouns. Kill it with fire.)
The California Burrito thing is weird. I was just ordering Greek food and they had a California pita that had French Fries, and I thought it was really weird. I associate Califprnia with sushi and tri tip. And then I come here and there are California burritos
There is apparently a restaurant near here that has them, I am tempted to go get one for lunch. I don't really want to go out to lunch today, though. Maybe this weekend some time.
The internet is leading me to believe it is specifically a San Diego thing. Epic, Cass, care to weigh in?
Possibly we just read the same article, -t!
I really just skimmed the first page of Google results.
In actual Greece you can get a (chicken or pork souvlaki or gyros) pita with fries included. (My vegetarian friend used to get the fries and no meat, which always boggled the pita guys.) They did not call it Californian, though.
