Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Meep, I really hope it doesn't come to that, itMeep, I really hope it doesn't come to that, ita.

On Friday I called in for a refill for the methadone. They said that since my doctor wasn't in, they could only give me a refill until Thursday, my next appointment. Okay. I go to the pain doctor yesterday, and my shoulder is paining me (thanks, J'can idiom)) more than it should a month after the last epidural. "Do you want another one? They can be additive?" After having spent five tripes to the ER, I say yes, how soon. Thursday, same time as my migraine appointment. Since the migraine doc doesn't get anything done other than write prescriptions, and PAIN, I say yes, ASAP. I'm assuming the migraine doctor will still be in the clinic and can still write, so I can pick it up, even if the next appointment is in November.

"We'll see what we can do."

How is that the answer? I explicitly run out Thursday midday.

I actually asked if they had notes for managing withdrawal, I was so ticked off.

As you rightly should be!

I wish I could do an etransfer of my rage so you didn't have to expend any.

I've excess, and am slightly concerned about getting my ass fired if I don't rein it in on Monday, in a meeting with corporate. Although, that might be doing me a favor-there are open positions I could easily get hired for I if I wasn't working for CSC though it would mean losing a not-insignificant chunk of retirement change and having to leave my branch. And change jobs. Which I don't really want to do, just switch contracts. But I need a better handle on the climate between CSC and main contract, and should wait until I get my several grand before gambling.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm sorry, ita.

I wore a skirt to work today(Rosh Hashanah starts tonight) and one of my co-workers said "I've never seen your knees before." Ok......

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

"We'll see what we can do."

Gah! I very much hope that was someone not wanting to make promises for the doctor, and not a real reflection of the likelihood that your extremely reasonable scenario where you get a be scrip you need happens.

That sentence kinda got away from me. You get the gist, I hope.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

ita, I do hope something comes through for you, both medical and career-wise. YOu deserve all the good things.

As does Allyson, who took hold of her brain and went to get it fixed, even though it was scary.

And Plei, too.

Crap, there's a lot of us with job issues. Did it used to be like this, or is this a function of the crap economy? SIGH.

I have leads on a couple of jobs I need to apply for, including one with a firm a good friend of mine used to work at, so I need to follow up. They're all consulting gigs, though, which means longer hours and more stress than right now. And I really don't want anymore stress, argh. Anyway.

I can't believe I spent two hours at the grocery store and forgot to get canned dog food. Sorry Walter. Not such a festive holiday meal for you.

I, on the other hand, am settling down to a cheese-stuffed mushroom, more cheese, different cheese, an apple, honey, and a glass of wine. A little fake news, a little Agents of SHIELD, should be a fine evening.

Not, I am sad to say, the delicious (I have been assured) honey from the wildlife refuge because they were out. But it's pretty good.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh man, you guys -- I just saw the new musical of Finding Neverland at the American Repertory Theater, and it was SO GREAT. Luckily, the only think I remembered about the movie was that I cried and cried, so I was prepared for that.... Choreography by SYTYCD's Mia Michaels and Melanie Moore was a featured dancer.

Crap economy, from what I've been seeing/reading. I know a lot of people with job issues, and I am still agog at the turn of luck that landed me where I am.

I can basically blame greed and incompetence. Sure, CSC is global, took a hit but they also are inept. The backtracking on policy when they discover new policy violates local labor law is insane. And my mission's budget is govt funded. But our budget increased post furlough (which we were insulated from due to main contract) and CSC pocketed the increase and fucked us over.

...yeah, I'm not really over mad. Fuck fair, even. The contract is fundamentally toxic to the mission. I want to drive them into the ground with NASA.
