Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

ita, that sucks. May you get something soon.

Allyson, you were brave to go through with it, and I hope things keep getting better!

Tom, that's cool! RESPEKT

-t, I would do it before breakfast, but not if I were hungry enough to be distracted.

It's a pleasantly gloomy day, preparing to rain. I should've gone to the grocery, but dealing with the pharmacy took all my spoons, and I'm not going back out. My throat hurts and I hope it fixes itself so I don't have to go to the doctor.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I told my sister I wouldn't look up methadone withdrawal. What do they know about my history and dosage about? Ooops.

When you say you won't. Don't. Not without medical translation.

Meep, I really hope it doesn't come to that, ita.

That's kinda how I was leaning, Zen. I think I'll try it, see how it goes. If I wake up starving, I'll eat then meditate; otherwise meditate right before. That sounds simple and straightforward.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

It takes me a while before I get hungry in the morning. This has been a bit of a problem lately with my teaching schedule as I need to either eat by 7:15 or not eat until 11.

ita, that sucks, I'm sorry.

Allyson, take free pass to judge harshly anyone who would judge you. You're kinda a superhero, you fucking rewired your brain with science. They didn't bodily perform science on themselves.

So my (nonCSC) boss accidentally saw the title of my spreadsheet calculating my leave balances. The problem, you ask? I named it CSC's FUCK YOU, FUCK OFF. Oops.

And then our division (might be others, don't know, but ours is the biggest) got notice from the ombudsman about complaints about people being discourteous in mtgs- sleeping, busy with mobile devices, too aggressive. Now, most of the people I am in mtgs with? We've worked together a long time. We're snarky, overly familiar, and if someone is working on their laptop at the same time, we all know why, so not bothered. That I am aware of. But I'm one of the snarkiest who has pretty thick skin up to a point, and at that point, you'll hear it. So, I don't think any of the offenses are from our group, but hard to say. There've been some pretty bloody mtgs this past year, but when anyone has really gone off the rails, apologies are tendered by the end.

Also, I think this may derive from the fact everyone is fucking stressed out.

On Friday I called in for a refill for the methadone. They said that since my doctor wasn't in, they could only give me a refill until Thursday, my next appointment. Okay. I go to the pain doctor yesterday, and my shoulder is paining me (thanks, J'can idiom)) more than it should a month after the last epidural. "Do you want another one? They can be additive?" After having spent five tripes to the ER, I say yes, how soon. Thursday, same time as my migraine appointment. Since the migraine doc doesn't get anything done other than write prescriptions, and PAIN, I say yes, ASAP. I'm assuming the migraine doctor will still be in the clinic and can still write, so I can pick it up, even if the next appointment is in November.

"We'll see what we can do."

How is that the answer? I explicitly run out Thursday midday.

I actually asked if they had notes for managing withdrawal, I was so ticked off.

As you rightly should be!

I wish I could do an etransfer of my rage so you didn't have to expend any.

I've excess, and am slightly concerned about getting my ass fired if I don't rein it in on Monday, in a meeting with corporate. Although, that might be doing me a favor-there are open positions I could easily get hired for I if I wasn't working for CSC though it would mean losing a not-insignificant chunk of retirement change and having to leave my branch. And change jobs. Which I don't really want to do, just switch contracts. But I need a better handle on the climate between CSC and main contract, and should wait until I get my several grand before gambling.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm sorry, ita.

I wore a skirt to work today(Rosh Hashanah starts tonight) and one of my co-workers said "I've never seen your knees before." Ok......

Gah! I very much hope that was someone not wanting to make promises for the doctor, and not a real reflection of the likelihood that your extremely reasonable scenario where you get a be scrip you need happens.

That sentence kinda got away from me. You get the gist, I hope.
