Sometimes I miss having powers... Oh. Oh! I know what this is! This is peer pressure! Any second now you're gonna make me smoke tobacco and--and have drugs!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I got laughed at hard when I expected it still in North American houses.

Really? I think that's normal. No, wait, Jesse's way - you get scalded because the cold water all goes to the flush.

ETA: I live alone so not really an issue BUT if I start the shower running and have to pee while the hot water is warming up (as often happens) I don;t flush because I'm honestly not sure what will happen but I'm certain it would be bad.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Scald, yes, not ice. But I got laughed at when I postponed flushing. I would not be surprised if that turned out to be an expression of snobbery on said relative's part. I got mad relatives like that.

Last week I called UCLA to find out where the process was and they called my final reference, which says I'm still in it, and it's still open.

So today, I called to find out what their timeline is, and what my chances are. I need to call back this afternoon....yoinks. I want this to be my last unemployed week, dammit.

I hope this afternoon's call has good news for you!

hip deep in pie

I postpone flushing if I'm about to get in the shower.

My good cholesterol is stubbornly low. Exercise not fish oil supplements seem to budge it. Even when the bad is going down.

Thrive to spite them

Flushing my toilet reduces the water pressure so I always wait. Also the washing machine on the weekends I mess up and start laundry when I want to take a shower.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I didn't know the Zombies app worked other than with GPS, because I already know my so-called "smart" phone isn't good enough to really hold onto a GPS signal. So if the accelerometer works instead....

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

We try to not flush when someone is in the shower, so there'd be no laughing at you here. Flushing in my house reduces the water pressure in the shower to a trickle. That's what 70 year old pipes will get you.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I have completed 5 of 6 interviews today for the job I've been doing since November. Word is that a decision will be made by the end of the week.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Triglycerides tend to be my main issue. I had gotten them down to the healthy range in 2013, but this year they were up again. My good cholesterol is a little low. I'm currently taking flaxseed oil =and= fish oil pills but that's not enough. I know, more fruit and veggies, fewer simple carbs and more exercise. I'm doing better on the exercise front than the diet change front. Stupid sweet tooth.
