"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So, looking around google for images to take to the hairdresser on Thursday, I came across this site, which totally made me think of David.

She's very game! I could probably do a similar set of galleries for JZ's haircuts over the last ten years.

Thrive to spite them

Tom Vermont is nice this year. Lots of rural, and quiet. There are mountains, meadows, lakes, streams. A city if you want it, but on a much smaller scale. Lots of good food.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I was able to find the point of intersection between the tangent line and the line through the circles' centers pretty quickly, but then figuring out how to construct the tangent line was where I was stumped. I don't totally remember the train of thought that eventually got me to the solution.

Would you like me to put a bit more about what I came up with?

Meanwhile, a link on the reproductive habits of echidnas, in fairly explicit detail (and with pictures, so, you know, be warned). I've commented previously on the four-headed penises of the males; this articles adds the news that echidna sperm travels in gangs of up to 100, making them faster at reaching the egg and presumably giving them an advantage in West Side Story-style dance-fights.

When you're a gamete you're a gamete all the way.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Made it to jury duty. The two-bus voyage to the suburbs would have actually been super quick and easy if not for the 20 minute wait in between buses. Wish me luck!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Should we wish you a Twelve-Angry-Men type jury or a swift dismissal?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Good luck, Jesse, whatever that may mean in this particular situation.

I would go see the echidna reproductive cell version of West Side Story.

My official hire date anniversary happened while I was on vacation - I've been an employee here a year. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

It takes Fedex employees longer to put together a shipment using their Fedex software at the store than it takes me using the website.

(Observed while waiting in line to just pick up a package.)

Also, miserably muggy out. It may only be 82, but horrid day to walk across campus. Thank god for server room access.
