Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

5 days in a row is too much.

I was just thinking that exact thing! I am totally out of gas, brain-wise, by about noon on Friday. If not sooner.

Oh great, I get to go interview someone now...

Errands done, finally ate something at 1, by which point I was really cranky, oops. New bird feeder holder installed [link] Got cheap plastic plates and installed a dish underneath, since birds are messy and I have a ridiculous pile of birdseed on the ground below...

Wish I'd gotten a little more done, but traffic was a bit much for midday on a Friday...

Why doesn't Reverb need a remote Security Manager? CURSES!

By the by, techies here -- I am working on Dan's resume and LinkedIn profile. He's a horrible networker, so I think he needs some more tech industry contacts OUTSIDE his current job.

If anyone would be willing to have him connect with you on LinkedIn, send me an email or FB message with your email addy, and I'll have him add you. He won't bug you are ask for recs or do anything annoying -- he just needs to expand his job search field.

Sorry if this is an inappropriate request -- I have NO INTENTION of offending anyone or trying to take advantage. I'm just trying to help him get a better job so we can move to live near our son.

Gracias!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Cute feeder, sarameg.

I like to think that my fallen birdseed gets eaten up by doves and other ground feeders, but in reality enough has accumulated to make a little hillock next to the "iron tree" that holds the feeder. The grass grows over it, though, so I think it's fine. Kinda sproingy to walk on, actually, which seems nice to my feet. I sometimes think I should build up the parts of the yard where water pools (when we have water to pool, which is starting to feel like something that only happened in the lost Golden Age of Not Drought) by scattering bird seed or somesuch.

5 days in a row is too much.

I've put in so many hours this week that I'm currently debating with myself on how early I should leave the office. I'm done. I can't even deal with these open requests in my inbox.

That is a whole other level of trouble.

I've worked more hours for the AMA in the past 2 weeks than I did the entire month of August. Every time I shame myself for being stressed about a job where I sit on the couch all unwashed in yoga pants, I remind myself that I am working my ass off.

Always Anti-fascist!

funny how freelance is feast or famine that way.I know that is(well, one of many reasons) that social workers don't get what I do. Some days are busy, and some days are like, "Score! Lots of King of The Hill on On Demand." but then I guess I can admit that there are some days where I don't do a hell of a lot, but then I can't do what they do and pretend to be "out in the field"

Seriously. At least I know my check for this month will be ginormous.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Took Nova to the vet to get her teeth cleaned. As it turns out, she needed to have two of them removed. Poor thing is still a bit loopy from the anaesthesia (as opposed to being loopy from being a cat) and her pupils are huge.
