You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

Wheee Jilli!

I need to figure out where to go on vacation. Someplace rural and quiet.

I have been fantasizing about a cottage by the ocean. And a big pile of books.

When's the Iceland eclipse? Not that I can afford it, but hey, it's only money.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

For Tom, I feel like there are deals for places to stay that are usually skiing places, so not so big in the summer. Travel Zoo and that kind of thing.

Oh, yeah, I stayed in a resort in the off-season a million years ago and it was really nice. And quiet. And affordable. Though a lot of ski places are trying to lure in mountain bikers in the summer these days - but worth a look, probably!

When we lived in Athens, I could never head down the Atlanta Highway without singing Love Shack. And you head down that road a lot - in addition to being the way to get to Atlanta, it's also the way to get to the mall.

I'm glad you had a good month in Athens, Fred. Several of my Facebook friends from there linked to the newspaper article about Arthur! It's a great little city, and I know a lot of cat people.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Yay, Jilli!

Also, thanks for the thought, flea.

Our wings are not tired.

Quiet and discreet WOO HOO for Jilli!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yay, Jilli!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Congratlations, Jilli!

This was my first thought: [link]

What's that island that doesn't allow cars or any motor vehicles? Mackinac?

Mackinac Island doesn't allow cars or non-rescue motor vehicles. There are a lot of bikes and horse-drawn carriages. And they have the best fudge in the world. The tourists crowds can get a bit thick, but once you get away from the main downtown area the crowds thin out a lot.
