When we lived in Athens, I could never head down the Atlanta Highway without singing Love Shack. And you head down that road a lot - in addition to being the way to get to Atlanta, it's also the way to get to the mall.

I'm glad you had a good month in Athens, Fred. Several of my Facebook friends from there linked to the newspaper article about Arthur! It's a great little city, and I know a lot of cat people.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Yay, Jilli!

Also, thanks for the thought, flea.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yay, Jilli!

What's that island that doesn't allow cars or any motor vehicles? Mackinac?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Congratlations, Jilli!

What's that island that doesn't allow cars or any motor vehicles? Mackinac?

This was my first thought: [link]

Mackinac Island doesn't allow cars or non-rescue motor vehicles. There are a lot of bikes and horse-drawn carriages. And they have the best fudge in the world. The tourists crowds can get a bit thick, but once you get away from the main downtown area the crowds thin out a lot.

In news with very limited appeal, I finally worked out level 20 of the Euclid game. Took three days.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Yay, Jilli!

We've got a big trip coming up in August. Worldcon is in London this year, so we decided to extend our trip a bit. We'll be in London for a couple of days after the con, then we head to Dublin for a couple days. Never been to Dublin, so that should be fun. (Yeah, we went to London last summer, but there are plenty of things we still want to see. Plus, we don't have to worry about my folks keeping up with us this time.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am waiting for Big Work News, and it is killing me! I'd better hear tonight.
