Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Your whole week sounds surreal, ita! And not in a good way.

I am HTG scared to go to sleep tonight. It's anxiety that drives me to post in the middle of the night, and it takes unknown time for me to even struggle awake, and then paranoid it will start again if I go back to sleep (if I *can*--it's certainly not relaxing, anyway).

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Today has been the day of the coughing fit ab workout. Ow. And I've been at work for almost 14 hours now. I'd really like to be home and in bed.

"sneaked" vs. "snuck"?

I can't say I've ever cared before today, but for some reason the form "sneaked" looks really alien to me today. Which do you say? Is it a UK thing like slept or dreamt (see how I'm obsessing here?)?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I believe that 'snuck' is a back-formation and not yet considered proper in either parlance.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Up at 5:30 because the damn smoke alarm is beeping. M tried to silence it but there seemed to be no fix other than replacing the battery. So I go off to the store to pick up new 9-volts, and come home to find that the alarm in Rose's room is beeping too. How she's managing to sleep through it, I have no idea, but I won't be able to go back to sleep until I can get in there and get it fixed...

And my condolences to you and the SO and his family, Liese. It sounds like his passing was as peaceful as anyone could want. Wishing you strength and comfort for the days ahead.

ita, I hope you've been able to get some decent sleep tonight.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Snuck was considered nonstandard or colloquial for years, but it has sneaked its way into standard usage in many dictionaries. I use both.

I hope you got some sleep, ita! Between chemo side effects and assorted pains, my sleep has been a mess.

Brilliant blue skies, cuddly cats and coffee.

But pouring another cup of coffee is a core workout when reclined and being a catbed...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am getting my place ready for surprise houseguests - they had a (small) fire at their house, so I am giving them mine for a week, and staying with my mother. The good news there is that she will be out of town for work for a couple of days. But I basically need to pack for a week, in addition to getting my house company-ready.
