Yes you have to sign. You can say you disagree, but with write up number 2, I actually salvaged my job (which I still have, my boss is gone) by saying I was horribly sorry, I didn't mean to upset her, I would try better and get my meds adjusted (which I did not). about 6 months later she was gone.

I'm glad a coworker guilted me into going to meditation this morning, because it's definitely an "I will cut you if you put one more meeting on my calendar" kind of day.

So, I applied for an October work trip to SF in April, and was told in May it was a no-go, so planned to attend the conference virtually. TODAY my boss tells me, in a surprise to him, he received the travel approval for me to go. It's a month from today, we've already set our work schedules for October, and I am teaching 2 classes on the day I'd be coming back from the conference, so I'd need to reschedule those. ARGH, fiscal office, what the heck? I think I am just going to not go, because boss and I both figure if this year's funding makes no sense, nothing we do now is likely to have any effect on next year's funding, which will also make no sense.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm glad a coworker guilted me into going to meditation this morning,

What's mediation?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I just got real scared I called the president of South Africa "President Zumba," but I'm pretty sure I actually did say Zuma, which is his name.

brillig

I so rarely worry about how I address presidents of sovereign nations.

More referring to than addressing, but still. Zumba Zuma

I may need to take a quick break after my next meeting before I start screaming incoherently.

Holy crap, they found the Franklin Expedition! At least some of it, anyway. And it was exactly where the Inuit had said, for all these years.
