I am bummed that I'm at work and can't listen to the creepy lullaby until I get home because, like Jilli, I love them.
For Hil, Burrell, and other professory types:
That just about covers it. But I tend to assume any emails about ill/dying/dead relatives or about necessary court dates are completely legitimate.
I've decided that I'm wearing all my cute dresses this week while the weather holds so I can fake it until I make it. If I look put together, perhaps I can deal with ALL THE ONEROUS TASKS coming due at the same time.
It's mostly not my fault that August was a total wash in terms of productivity (THANKS, DAD), but I still have to deal with the consequences.
Ziplines are a lot faster than they look. And you can't close your eyes or else you can't see the guide frantically signalling you to brake as you get to the landing platform.
But so much fun. You should try it upside down. That was super freaky.
Timelies all!
Back to dance practice tonight. First time in a month and a half.(combination of Pennsic, vacation and tiredness)
Today at work my colleague was reading Buffy fanfic, printed, 3-hole punched, and placed in a 3-ring binder, while staffing the phone line.
OMG, did you guys see today's Dear Prudence? Some parent is horrified that their 13-year-old daughter is reading smutty boy band fanfic, and Prudie says, "I can't imagine the authors thought their target audience was teenage girls." Um.....
Oh, Prudie. So out of touch.
My colleague is in her 50s! (Also, from what I could see, and I could see enough to see it was Buffy fanfic, not smutty.)
I haven't regularly read fic in years, and yet my first thought was "hmm, what fic? anyone we know?"
