Brava on going into the yard, Connie!
And now I'm going to frighten you: do you have a recent tetanus shot?
In me news, I vacuumed; trimmed the dog's nails and cleaned her ears; wrote a couple hundred words of my story; went to Good Will, the dry cleaner's, the frame shop, Safeway, & the oil change guys; visited Dad and reset his online bank password; and took a 20-minute power nap.
Now I need to write some more and then go to a movie and a late dinner with a friend.
And now I'm going to frighten you: do you have a recent tetanus shot?
No, I do not. But said small wound does have Neosporin and a bandage and a plan to keep a suspicious eye on it. If it starts being odd, I'm off to the walk in clinic.
ION, I found an indepth story about the most recent Pennsic, the biggest Society for Creative Anachronism event of the year, which takes place in Western Pennsylvania every August. This story tells of my SCA, Hubby's SCA, the events, the tales, the history, the legends. I know some of the names referenced in the tales, I've lived events like the ones the reports talks about. I wish I could show Hubby this story.

Spent 40 minutes on the back deck, watching the lightshow of the approaching storm. Seems to have fizzled rail wise, but still flashing out there. And blessedly cooler.
hivemind - need some help - I helped a lady from church today pack up some of her house. She is 75 and moving to a senior apartment. anyway, she said if there was anything I wanted and she had these two side tables that were solid wood and she said had been for holding Nielsen rating equipment. the tables have a closed in shelf with a door and venting on the back and holes on the bottom and a cut out on the back like for an electric cord, so it seems that would make sense for holding equipment. I have been googling for a while now and cannot find anything about Nielsen having tables and cannot find any image that looks like these tables. I just went and looked at the table again and there is no company name on it anywhere that I can find. so there is the scavenger hunt.
First go back and found out if this woman was watching Firefly or not.
Maybe someone just rigged it up for her?
Cool mystery, anyway!
Good for you, Connie. Small steps, small steps.
I made it up to Vermont alive, much more safely-feeling after I sweet-talked my friend into letting me drive. Not only does she have a tendency to get distracted, she was forever taking her foot off the gas or else stepping down harder on it, so that it was a very jerky-feeling ride. She doesn't believe in cruise-control, either.
So last night was the wake for a prop guy, a couple of weeks ago was a memorial for an electrician (both in their 30s), and now this [link] . Damn.
That is too much, aurelia.
