So last night was the wake for a prop guy, a couple of weeks ago was a memorial for an electrician (both in their 30s), and now this [link] . Damn.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
That is too much, aurelia.
I did my shopping, cleaned the kitchen and did 2 loads of laundry. Got to vacuum and mop the rest tomorrow. 3 weeks is too long to go with these cats and all the mess I was making last weekend (which is why it didn't get done on schedule.)
Also have gotten sick of the retractor on the front screen door pulling free. I'd love to replace it, but that's a lower priority ( it's just ugly, fixable and I haven't decided what I want.) I'll go get a strip of wood tomorrow and bolt that in place and bolt the retractor to that. Too many people not me have drilled the wrong sized holes and used the wrong sized screws over many many years, it looks like someone aimed a shotgun full of...shot at it. Maybe if I'm done cleaning early enough, I'll buy some spray paint and turn it a different color.
Oh how sad, Aurelia.
I took baked goods and Noah to a yard/bake sale for his cub scout pack. Then I went to Costco and bought all of the food. Then picked Noah up and made 8 crockpot bag meals. Then went to Grace's soccer game where I organized snacks for her team for the rest of the season. Went to a crab boil place that just opened (the shrimp! has faces!). Came home and created a spreadsheet of meals and costs then made 3 more crockpot bags. I still have the dishes to do, then 6 more crockpot bags then bed.
Tomorrow I will wake up and then do 10ish more crockpot bags, take Noah to soccer pictures then take Grace to her lego robotics meeting, grade papers and then collapse in a heap.
Oh, aurelia. I want to put the entire Chicago theater community in bubble wrap for you right now.
Yeah, I have to step away from my FB feed for a while. It's so full of heartache. It's too much.
Oh how awful, aurelia. I'm so sorry.
Such productivity, Kat! I was NOT productive today. Instead I took the kids to a barbeque party and hung out all afternoon. We all needed it.
Timelies all!
Heading to the Takoma Park Folk Festival today. We got a ton of rain last night, so things have cooled down a bit.
It's 47F here in the Green Mountains! I may have to wear a sweater! Am feeling a bit of climate-whiplash, but at least it's in the right direction.
