Oh ita, please let me know if I can do anything. I can get groceries for you or run errands. I assume you are already at the ER by now or I would offer a ride there. But please keep me in mind.
I've had a sebaceous cyst that needed removing. I guess they don't need to go unless they bother you or get infected, which is what happened to mine. Mine was in my cleavage, which seems to be a thing.
I have a work dilemma that is sort of funny. I am in the middle of IT and students/teachers who do not know what a browser is. Because they are nurses and use the computer infrequently AND the hospital only installs explorer and they do not have admin privileges. But our online learning system no longer works in explorer, so IT keeps telling them to try a different browser. But since they do not know what a browser is, they are confused. So I keep having to explain what a browser is, but they can't download a new one, so it isn't very helpful! I have also discovered that they do not know that an address bar is, nor do they know how to get anywhere except by clicking links on our intranet or typing what they want into the google box in the middle of the page.
OMG, Sophia. I would die. But also, can you do a blanket request to IT to get them a different browser??
Did you all see that Sondheim says "Any Moment" will be in the movie? [link]
I just read that, Jesse. That is a good thing, but what about Rapunzel?
This is the craziest part- it is 2 different IT departments for the same entity. The instructors and students are also working nurses, and work in the hospital building, and their policy is IE only. It is the School of Nursing's IT that tells them to try a different browser, because out policy is to install Firefox and Explorer, and also let us download Chrome or Safari. So they don't usually walk over here just to use the computer.
Ah, that makes sense. But is especially crazy.
My BFF (who until recently was working part-time at minimum wage and last year got a full-time job at $10/hr) say we shouldn't raise the minimum wage because then prices will go up, and things are too expensive already. I didn't say anything because she's closer to this battle than I am, but I cannot believe raising the minimum wage to something approaching livable will make bread suddenly go up to 25$ a loaf or something. I'm just trying to avoid talking about it. She's a Democrat but she has some startlingly conservative views on some things. I think she's been living on very little money in the ass-end of Tennessee for way too long.
Crazy making. (Originally the browser thing, but the minimum wage thing too).
Met with a chripractor this morning and go back later today to discuss his recommended treatment. My face is doing pretty well today, I guess the meds are doing more than I realize. But I don't want to be on the meds forever, so if chiropractice intervention can relieve the pressure on the nerve, I'll give it a try.
On the homefront, we are still trying to work out the best way for all three of us to live in this two bedroom apartment. Luckily the living area is very open plan so we have shifted bookcases to give K-Bug a semi-private sleeping area. I just have no idea how to deal with KCD and B on this. Neither seems willing to talk with K-Bug to resolve whatever "issues" there are nor do they give me any difinitive reasons for whatever happened. I love my daughter, but long term, this is going to be a challenge. Once she finishes school, she should have the time to work full time and find her own place. Right now, earning that kind of money, plus paying off the debt she and D got into, isn't going to happen. Gah. Sorry. Got more ranty than I expected.
I have: gone to four meetings and answered thorny questions in three of them, printed my travel insurance card, made copies of my passport, made a copy of my International Certificate of Vaccination yellow card, gone to the bank, not murdered anyone who actually wants me to do work today, and sent vacation notices.
To do: Walgreens, packing.
