I'm sorry. You were going to ask me to choose, right? Did you want to finish?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, hell no, Steph. She'll "walk you through it"? Like the problem here is that you don't quite understand? She is taking advantage of you and being rude and deliberately obtuse. I don't normally advocate just walking out on jobs, even volunteer positions, but at this point I'd be gone.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Seriously, Tep, quit now.

OMG OMG OMG my stepson who we just intro'd to Firefly this summer wants to go as Mal for Halloween. Without prompting. I couldn't be prouder if he'd gotten into Yale.

I'm kinda serious about that.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Someone shut off my water at work and no one is fessing up to it. People at work, I'm miffed that you did this, but more importantly, I don't know how long the water was on, and I don't know if I need to drag out the 200 foot hose again (that I had to put away this afternoon) to continue watering, because some random person interfered in my course of fucking business. The three most likely culprits have denied, and I'm gonna feel like an ass, but I've had too many helpful people shut off my irrigation without telling me, and, Surprise!, plants die.

I have a feeling that it was the Executive Director. Lovely man, I'm getting to the point where "I hate him" is an accurate description. When put the question of a sticky business, instead of saying "let X deal with this as according to their contract" he replied "oh, goodness no, you can't plant that because of reasons!". Not the answer needed, the answer was one of responsibility, not plant selection, which, as the most ignorant plants person I have ever encountered, you are excluded from having an opinion upon, and is not your department anyhow. You have a horticulture department and a grounds committee to make those decisions, back the fuck off. you don't know what the fuck you are talking about and I hate you.

I tanked the install schedule. After a 2.5 hour meeting that was still going on when I left because I had nothing more to contribute. Fine, it might be a config issue specific to the test system but until you can figure out what went wrong so we don't do it on ops, you CANNOT install it on ops. That you found another bug not previously know just underscores it. I get it makes everyone pissy, but we do acceptance testing so that ops can have a dry run making sure we can config and run the system according to our procedures. If we can't, that is a showstopper. That's the POINT.

I got to the pool an hour late and swam off my frustration. Now dinner.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

My response at this point would be these exact words. "I was a volunteer. You were never my boss. I will not put up with your bullshit anymore. Fuck you, I quit - effective immediately."

Cause Teppy, she just forfeited any shadow of right to any notice or courtesy, not that these people had not already.

I have coworkers I actually have to tell "I cannot do this right now. You need to go away." And I get paid for that. As a volunteer, she's only due the time and brain space you deign to give her. Put that tiara on and OFF WITH HER HEAD. Or, you know, firm NO and a terse resignation offered above.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hell, I ignore people's emails for hours at work if it's not a good time.
