I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

still undone:

mop kitchen
clean off dresser
wash car
vacuum other half of car

I have 2 more pairs of pants to measure and this first stack of clothes will be done.

hmmm. I think starting on the dresser is all that is gonna get done tonight, as it is bedtime. Maybe I can vacuum that side of the car in the morning before we leave.

I'm taking the last of my vacation save one day the week of Halloween. Figure I should keep a day for emergencies. I have things I want to do over All Hallow's and I like having that time of year off.

edit: and since I find myself in the role of minor job producer, I'll do my liberal best.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, I got a tiny amount of my clothes culled. But since I only had "start sorting clothes" on my to do list, this brings me up to a 74% completion rate, which might even be a passing grade.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

We have a new fridge, new to us at least. It is 10 years old, but since ours was 20, this is a win. Apartment is empty. I am done with that at least.

Has anyone else tried the Hard Pressed Hard Cider from TJs? It is delicious. They were all sold out this afternoon however, so I need to go by tomorrow to buy myself a few bottles, because YUM.

PS -- Sangria mixer is still in fridge macerating. I guess I just need a non-crazy weekend to make it.

Always Anti-fascist!

My brother needs a hobby or to be a vampire so I can take the invite back.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Congrats on being done with the apartment, Burrell! That's huge.

We did some purging and redecorating, not entirely planned, but what's done is done.

I am a big believer in supporting other people who are better at tasks than I am. Seamstress, repair, graphic design, some kinds of cleaning. I prefer to spend my time doing what I'm good at and hope that others pay me for my expertise!

to be a vampire so I can take the invite back.

It is one way to keep people away from you, but awkward to arrange. "Look, I's tired of my brother just dropping in whenever he wants, can't you do something about it?"

Brava, Burrell! I know it's been hard.

So much TCB! An extra day really does help.

I feel stupid: what does TCB stand for? I know it means "onerous tasks", but what does the acronym mean?

I was not very onerous today. Walked the dogs, picked up Dad, went to a lovely brunch for my niece's 25th birthday, at which we had an honest-to-god pinata that my SIL had made. My younger niece is a star softball player, and when she hit the pinata the candy inside sprayed all over the yard. So fun.

Then I handed off Dad's dog to my brother (I hope they adjust okay!), took Dad home, went home, bought milk & kale, took a nap, went climbing, came home, ate a kale salad, & watched some SG-1. ("1969", so awesome.)

And now, sadly, my weekend is over. But today was a good day. And my oldest friend is going to be in town for two weeks starting next Monday, so we get to play.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

TCB = Taking Care of Business.

It was on Elvis' belt buckle, and that's what the backup singers are singing behind Aretha on "Respect": "Take Care / TCB!"

Excellent! I should have guessed that, but I was stuck on fitting onerousness into it.
