And almost sixty-five percent of that was actual compliment. Is that a personal best?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

- vacuum (including upstairs)
- clean bathroom
- dust all
- straighten bedroom
- laundry (including sheets)- 1/2
- dishes + other kitchen
- work -- reviews + other
- beach
- long walk
- groceries
- pedicure
- hang mirror, etc. - 1/2

Hmmm. Not terrible, not great.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Today I went to a doctor who I chose because A. I read about it on Yelp and B. the office is right next to the diner we go to on Saturday morning and got my Pot prescription. Then I went to my first dispensary and bought me some drugs. LEGAL drugs.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

The funniest part of that is the Yelp review. Go Scrappy, hope it does you good.

Got 5 out of 11 things crossed off my list today, myself. Mostly cooking, which feels less productive than other chores, but does need to get done. And, not gonna lie, I am eating very well today. About to have collard greens with roast pork belly for dinner.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I got some work done today (hello, life of a freelancer -- but no more work until Tuesday, I so decree), and we ran a billion errands (Staples, Trader Joe's, Target, and the grocery store) and got caught in the rain. Bringing groceries inside in the rain just blows. But then we ate dinner and watched the old Batman and Wonder Woman TV shows on the MeTV station, like the old people we secretly are, so it's all good. And I got chocolate-covered sea salt almonds at Trader Joe's, which I might have to bust out soon. (Also pomegranate limeade, which I originally intended to take to a pool party next weekend, but I kind of want to dump some tequila into and have a tasty beverage.)

Getting caught in the rain calls for pina coladas. Or some kind of limeade tequila concoction.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Coincidentally, we've had both today.

All of you people are eating better than I am. Although I had nice black bean and corn salad leftover from the work picnic, to which I added quinoa.

I had my usual grilled Portobello and caramelized onion with feta, spinach and garlic aioli on a toasted rosemary ciabatta this morning (god, that thing is so good) and then TJs kale slaw take home salad with extra cabbage for dinner.

No empanadas guys at the market. But I have enough salad fixings, and with the days off...

My hands and wrists are sore and I'm not sure how much is the grinding rather than battling fellow swimmers. I have bruises on both hands from this week at Parkville. And elsewhere.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh, I am so friggin' tired. Yesterday I went to work, came home early (kids were not in school so DH & I split childcare duties), spent 3 hours moving furniture and boxes out of the living room to make it habitable again, and then hosted 3 11yo girls for a sleepover party. Which involved lots of yelps and screams, several dropped bottles of fingernail polish, and very little sleep. Today I spent the afternoon moving more boxes and furniture out of my sister's apt since we want to be OUT OUT OUT by Monday.

Arggh! AT some point finishing some of the work of clearing out shit has to translate to a feeling of relief, right? I'm not even asking for happiness or sense of accomplishment, I'm just tired of every step leaving me feeling more existentially bereft than before.
