I did more packing of boxes and cataloguing of ceramics at my sister's place. And then came home all stinky and tired and had to take a bath before dinner.

K was at Krav from 12-5 today. ita, she said that Kelly Campbell says hello.
Atta-K! I'm so jealous. Which does not remind me--do you think I could get back the folder I lent her? I'm forgetting the information in it. Tell her to tell Kelly hi back from me any and all the time.
Man, I found out this guy at old work who was always trying to talk to me trains at the West LA location, so clearly he had his in, because I will talk krav to anyone. But I got laid off before conversation #2! I almost feel sorry for him, but I'm too busy feeling sorry for myself.
So I drew orchids for my mother that I didn't like, so I sent them to her as a "this would have been a tote bag, but I am insecure" not birthday present. After conceding there are no orchids that look like that, she said she was looking forward to receiving her tote bag. Ordered! Just have to work out how to get it to her. One does not simply ship into Jamaica.
It's my theory, which is mine, that British pronunciations are the result of hundreds of years of saying long names while pissed drunk. It's just too much trouble to nunsuch all those sybils.

So this is weird. I was just out trying to reclaim a garden bed from the grass that's overtaking it. And I dug up a pill bottle filled with quarters. The latest quarter is dated 2011 and I moved in here in 2007. It's definitely not mine. [link]
It makes me want to simultaneously dig up the rest of the garden, and complete the last 10% of the fence to my backyard so no more weirdos wander in to bury their money.
OMG, I love it. Was it definitely buried, or maybe someone just lost their laundry money and it made its way under some dirt? Anyway, finders keepers.
Also, did anyone else read the Rainbow-Cake Recipe comment saga? Someone did a meta-analysis of the comments on a recipe. hilarious! [link]
And then the comments on that article devolve as fast! [link]
Jesse, as usual, I read the article but not the comments. Hilarious that his devolve too.
Sue, the gardener who used to be the gardener at this house before we moved in has apparently been letting himself in the backyard via the gate to pick fruit off the trees.
So I relate to your garden confusion.
WTF people? No trespassing.
Dang, Kat, that is creepy and weird. Also, you are up very early for a Sunday! I am awake but want to go back to sleep. But suspect my sister and BIL are awake and don't want to make them wait for me. Being on the Internet for the past 20 minutes hasn't helped me feel more awake though n
You're so bourgeois, Kat. Nature is for the people! I'm sure he just doesn't recognize your "gates" and "fences."
I have breakfasted and put in a load of laundry! Today is a better day.
OMG, I love it. Was it definitely buried, or maybe someone just lost their laundry money and it made its way under some dirt? Anyway, finders keepers.
It was buried, but not very deeply. I was using an edger to cut away some of the sod there and it was at least a couple of inches under the surface. It's a garden bed that I dug out, but I've kind of neglected the last few years. So if it was put there 3 years ago, it may have been overtaken by grasses and dirt.
But, my yard has two completely fenced yards and it's 90% fenced in itself. That garden bed abuts city owned land but it's 20 feet to my fence and a fairly steep incline from the sidewalk, so it rarely actually has people on it.
WTF people? No trespassing.
Seriously people. And if you're going to bury money in my yard, leave much larger amounts!
