Thanks, Burrell. He is in great health, and pretty good spirits, so that's something. It kills me how strong his grip is when he can't manage the fork.

That is something, Jesse. That he's basically happy is huge. I know how much it meant to me at the time.
Oh, tommy, that hurts.
That he's basically happy is huge.
Very much this.
OMG, I'm such a bitch. I was just thinking about all the laundry I'm going to do when I get up tomorrow when a friend texted about our brunch plans, and my first thought was "ugh." Oh no! I have friends, who want to hang out.
Jesse, that's not being a bitch. It's just being tired (and I don't mean physically). I'm so sorry about your dad.
You save your resources for when you need them, Jesse. Sometimes friends fall to the bottom of the list.
Aw, you guys are nice. It'll be good to see her. And then I can do all the laundry in the world after.
sounds like a good plan
That takes up a lot of spoons, Jesse -- I'm not surprised you're running low just now.
I have a recipe for chess pie that I can make if I can come up with a substitute for evaporated milk -- evidently you can simmer almond or coconut milk down by half and use it pretty confidently. I'm thinking that getting out the double-boiler would be good for this, since it would be very hard to scald it that way -- yes, no?
Socializing takes energy! But the nice thing is, sometimes it also provides it.
I think a double boiler would be your best bet, Theo.
