So I was away all weekend and I came home and the neighborhood had some fireworks going, and TNG was nervous.
... but I was foolish and didn't remember the Fourth of July, so when I woke up this morning there was a mess of "presents" for me in the kitchen. So I gave her some meds and locked the poor thing in the garage for the day. I just don't have the energy to scrub the carpets again (and I'm out of Nature's Miracle).
Calli, I haven't talked with the neighbors, but I probably will. A, above you, heard his video games through the firewall between our units and y'alls and thought it was coming from a car at first, but then it went on so long she realized it was coming from the other half of the building. If she can hear it to the point that it disturbs her, it must be bad.
ita ! My husband's company is opening an LA office and hiring a bunch of people. I'm not sure if there's anything suitable but they are hiring several BA-type roles (Functional Analyst is one, although I think it might be a more junior-type job than you're qualified for). Anyway, this is the link to the listings:

If anything sounds good, tell them Robert Atkinson sent you. If you want to know more about the company let me know and I can pass on questions.
Either I'm running a low grade fever or my shower was too hot this morning. Uhg. Coupled with the sneeze fits in the morning the past couple days, feels ominous.
Oh no! I was feeling vaguely feverish yesterday afternoon and hoping I don't get sick. I guess it's irrational to suppose that if someone I spend time with online every day gets sick I'm more likely to, but that is where my mind goes...
I am back at work after 6 days off. I have NO IDEA what I was doing when I left.
It'll come back to you. Or maybe it doesn't matter.
I feel good about this morning's swim, I was able to keep to my training program. Unfortunately, that puts me on pace to be ready for my triathlon in October instead of early September when it is actually happening. No word yet from the organizers about whether I can move my registration (there is , fortuitously enough, another triathlon in October, so that might work out fine for me).
Try not to get sick, people!
On Jesse's recommendation, watched a "Going Deep" last night - Shoelaces. I finally think I've mastered that tying a shoe in one move thingy, thanks to David Rees (well, thanks to his guest, Ian Whatsisface). And I will state that David Rees is completely and utterly adorkable.
Right?
So I just had to tell my boss there is nothing we could do differently with our tracking report that would get me to do the task I've been putting off/avoiding for months. It is not the tracking that's the problem!!
