I locked myself out of a place I was housesitting for my sister. Fortunately the front door had a glass window right next to the lock, so I carefully pried up the molding the held the glass in, pulled out the pane, opened the door, and carefully replaced the glass. I never told her.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I thought it was interesting that in Paris, most apartment buildings had keypad locks on the front door. So theoretically, you can know your friends' codes and not have to be let in.

Connie, I did the same. The day I was moving out of my apartment in NC to move here. And I was in my robe. Thankfully, had my tools in the car and it was unlocked.

Stupid Ace closed early, 10 minutes before I got there.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

The last two years I've locked myself out of my apartment during BBQ Fest and had to get Mom to bring me her key. Hopefully I'll be able to remember not to do that this year.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have lost all motivation to do anything. At least I've gotten to the gym and the grocery store already.

So, one lorazapam and one vicodin brings the pain down to a manageble level, with a side effect of SLEEP. For the weekend, that is just fine. But work next week is going to suck.

In an effort to ignore my face, we hit up Michaels and I bought some cake decorating supplies. I've been reading cake blogs and want to get back to decorating. No clue if my old skills are still in the back of my brain...but it would be a fun creative outlet. Just need to come up with recipients for the cakes, cookies, cupcakes, I decorate.

As much as I want to start playing....a nap is callig my name. Sad.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

When I first left home I shared a house with two other guys. One day I locked myself out while everyone else was at work. One of them had left his bedroom window slightly ajar, I just had to push through a short hedge underneath to reach it. Or so I thought, until I did so and my knees discovered there was a row of cactus behind the hedge.

That's some pretty clever home security, bt. Ouch.

Suzi, let me know if you want some Cake Boss stuff. We just had our employee sample sale on Friday and there's a good chance some stuff will go on even deeper discount tomorrow. I don't know thing one about cake decorating, but if you give me tool names or descriptions I'd be happy to look for whatever.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Ouch!

I used to lock myself out more than I do now. I got really skilled at unscrewing a doorframe enough to open the door with a credit card. My current house does not have that type of door ( I think it is more common with inner apartment doors. Luckily my neighbor is always home, and I just don't lock my inner door.

Finally put my bike back up on the stand and did a tiny bit of maintenance. I do not have the chain lubricant I thought I did, so it'll probably stay up on the stand until I get some, but just sitting around not being touched for a long time appears not to have hurt it much. Yay.
