My dad was discharged from the hospital yesterday to a hospice facility in Green Bay. We're at the point of just trying to keep him comfortable. He took a turn for the worse after the trip to Green Bay. Maybe he'll snap back from that, but he's not eating much and we decided against having a feeding tube implanted in his abdomen, so there's not much time left.
Also, Monica and I broke up on Tuesday. Yeah, bad timing but things were not going well for a while and we were both kind of putting off the Discussion. It's been hard--she was my first serious relationship, the first woman I've dated that I thought I could spend the rest of my life with.
Damn, tommyrot, that's a lot to deal with all at once. I'm sorry it's piled on like this.

The last few weeks I've been reading a lot of apocalypse fiction, which has oddly helped me feel better. I can tell myself, "Well, at least it's not the apocalypse..."
