Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I want a Lego robotics team. I didn't get that until I was 16.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Lego league is the best.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I, for some reason, assume that celery will not freeze well. Haven't tried it, but in my imagination the high water content will make frozen celery mushy rather than crisp. Which is fine if they are already cooked, or going to be cooked.

Anyway, made 8 jars of salad and used up all my celery and lettuce (and carrots, but I didn't have near as much of that hanging over me). Then I went back to Trader Joe's (kicking myself the whole time for not even looking at my shopping list yesterday) to get what I need for breakfast custards and impulse bought rather a lot. Not perishable stuff, though, so it can just sit in the cupboard until I feel like eating it.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I hate celery.

Legos are awesome.

I am unaccountably tired.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Haven't ever frozen any but suspect it would freeze well.

It screws with the texture and let's it break down much more easily. So it's fantastic when I admit mire poix should be used when making soup because I can blend it and obliterate most sense of 'celery' for me.

I always repress that fact. I think I've been trying to function under so much stress for so long that I don't want to know what kind of toll it might be taking on my body.

I'm back to repressing it. Because Life goes on and so it's not like the stress stayed gone. But for about ten minutes, it was very clear. Because the week-long migraine eased and my aching shoulders and neck eased and I could breathe easier. I'd even swear that the exzema stopped itching so bad. Though probably that last one was just being less agitated and thus less aware of every single irritant.

I think I keep doing something that seriously screws up my left big toe. There's a couple broken bones to the left of it because a bone got dropped there. But I can't figure out why the big one is bruised and gets a little better, hurts again and then is more bruised.

Man, I sound a mess. Which isn't far off. But maybe I've got enough spoons to get through work this week and life this week. That would be excellent.

I wish you spoons, Cass. Yikes on the foot.

Cheesecake is in the oven. Now I just need to come up with dinner for at least tonight. And wash dishes at some point - I was keeping up with cleaning as I cooked for a while today, but I've hit a wall on that.

brillig

Watching Earth's Mightiest Heroes. This is way cool. And I love the soundtrack.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I shot things! Well, I shot 2 guns, and shot 1 target. And I actually enjoyed it, though initially it was freaky, because I was all "INSTRUMENT OF DEATH NOOOOOO." It's just weird to me to hold a gun, knowing that they're deadly as hell. But once I started shooting, honestly, it was like a video game. And I'm actually pretty decent at hitting my target. I have a picture on my iPod that I'll put up later.

We shot a Walther P22 and then switched to a .22 revolver. I liked the Walther way better because it was lighter and semiautomatic and I am lazy and didn't like cocking the revolver before every shot. And the revolver was heavy enough to make my aim wander by about 1/2 inch. Tim loved the revolver.

Someone a couple lanes down from us was using a shotgun, so our little tiny .22 sounded like a cap gun by comparison.

Verdict: I would go do it again, definitely. Still have a rather extreme opinion on gun control, though.

When I see a guy wearing an eyepatch throwing boomerangs out in the field, I am inclined to keep a really close eye on the boomerangs.
