Not very productive here. I did a little work work. Then have spent some time sitting on Mom's porch watching the backed up traffic. They are doing a bridge repair a mile ahead so it is mucking up traffic quite a bit. Step dad put a sign up to let them know it was only another mile. It has been appreciated by many.
I feel like I can visit with my germy self as long as we are sitting outside. I hope that isn't false security. Keeping my distance and not touching anyone.
I think that's right, Laura. Just the not touching goes a long way! Feel better.
I did laundry and dishes and put together my hammock! Now I think I have to do some yardwork in front. But ugh. I would like to sit in the hammock!
You haven't tested the hammock to make sure it's okay?
Tuna salad made and partially consumed. Yum. I still have approximately 5 cups of chopped celery. Not sure what to do about that.

And everyone wash their hands. Honestly, biggest thing you can do other than not cough on people is have everyone wash their hands.
I possibly have a potential partial solution to a thing that has been wreaking havoc in my life and brain for a while. For something that is really less than a sure thing and won't fix everything, I am feeling an enormous amount less stress for the moment.
I even put away about three loads of clean laundry I couldn't face. And cleaned the kitchen partially. Why do I always forget that extreme stress can be physically and emotionally debilitating?

Burn it with fire. It's the only way to be sure. (Okay, I don't like celery. There are probably things you can do with some. Do you have things that need to be made into stock? Are there celery-based salads? I think my Internet will shut down in fear that I've been taken over by a pod person if I Google that.)
Freeze some celery for later soup-making? Make cream of celery soup now?

I did test it! And it is just fine.
I support Jesse and the hammock. Because I am jealous of the hammock. Er, wait. No, that makes it sound like I am jealous the hammock gets to hold Jesse. Which, she's fab, but no. I am jealous of Jesse getting to slounge in a hammock!
I am going to go see "Step Up" with my coworker in a bit. Gotta motivate off the couch though.
Hee! I'm neither dealing with the yard nor lying in the hammock. That is not right! If I'm going to be dozing, I should certainly be doing it outside.
I did test it! And it is just fine.
Well, then, hurry up and get that yardwork done so you can lounge in your hammock, missy!
ETA: or skip to the dozing outside. That does sound like a good idea.
I think I am going to go ahead and make jars of salad and include a layer of chopped celery as well as a layer of egg-or-tuna salad in each. Because I like celery quite a bit, so I don't think that will be too much.
I guess it will be out of season at some point and I will probably wish I had cream of celery soup when it does but that is too far over to the ant side of the ant-grasshopper spectrum for me today. Making lunches for this week, okay; making soup for wintertime, too much thinking ahead. Also my freezer is pretty full.
Celery adds a nice bit of crunch to salads, if you don't want to do anything cooking intensive with it. Or maybe save it and mix with some chopped onions at a later date to season roasted meat?
