Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I am sitting here researching where to buy live feeder crickets in LA for the baby toad. Baby toad is so cute and wee that the regularly stocked size (1/2 in) is almost too large. I tried to feed him this morning and he just stared at the big one, so I had to scrounge around and find a couple weensy ones for him.

I am handpicking food for the baby toad! Who is this chick?! It's like I don't even know me.

I think we should call the toad Trevor.

You absolutely should call the toad Trevor.

I am going on a craft store expedition with the StuntHusband today, so we can check out all the Halloween stock.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I second the Trevor idea.

This is a cool thing for us old-time Buffy fans: [link]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Baby toad needs baby food! Aw.

I'm back from the beach, which was glorious. After two weekends of gray and cool, we finally have a good one again! Yay.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My TiVo won't fire up. Dilemma: do I repair it a third (or fourth) time knowing that the power supply is halfbroken anyway, or do I ditch my lifetime account and buy a new one?

While unemployed?

Speaking of Halloween stuff, I got a catalog today from the Victorian Trading Co., with several pages of Victorian Gothic Halloween stuff. Here's the Halloween page of their site:

I love Victorian Trading Co., but damn, their prices.

Count Chocula: also, I find it hilarious that the Victorian Trading Co. is now carrying jewelry by the ultimate purveyors of delightfully cliched gothy bling, Alchemy Gothic.

Yeah, these catalogs are always so damned expensive. I wonder who buys this stuff at full price.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Just FYI, there is a Victorian Trading Co. outlet store in KC, and I would be happy to go in and take pics, or look for items people express an interest in.

Profile addy is good for lists of requests!
