No way, your sense of accomplishment is richly deserved. That is awesome!
I have made breakfast custards and now I'm working on Jell-o. I think I'll try to put together some second breakfast burritos to freeze, too, although I also need to think about salads. Hm. Not sure how much more doing-of-stuff I have in me today.
Ugh. I've come to vent. I apologize in advance.
My heart is breaking for a friend of mine. Her roommate got them evicted from their apartment and she has not found a new place to move to. She put all of her stuff into storage and is staying at a hotel through tomorrow when she basically runs out of money. She had a two month temp job that ended unexpectedly after two weeks. She's just SOL right now. I'm supposed to pick her up from the motel tomorrow to take her somewhere, but there is no somewhere to take her.
She can't stay with us because she has a cat. I have no money to give her either, as we're quite tight right now. I just feel so completely helpless, and I don't have enough spoons to deal with this.
Can her cat stay with another of her friends temporarily while she stays with you?
can she look for house-sitting gigs I wonder?
If there's an area foster network, they might have cat options.
Cracks of lightning so loud, pretty sure trees in the hood getting hit in this storm.
My hallway at work is now the color of dijon mustard. Possibly dried.
So I am going to see Hamlet in London on my friend's 30th birthday next year. I was 5021 in the queue for tickets online. And I got in over the phone by hitting redial obsessively, like it was the 90s. What a lark.
vw, I know who you mean. Rosemary, who's never met her, is severely uncomfortable with the idea of a stranger staying with us. I've only met her in person a handful of times, so I can't fairly vouch for her, either.
Sounds fun, Sue.
I like mustard. Maybe as a hallway color? Not sure.
Speaking of fun - today's Google doodle could eat up a lot of my time if I let it, I suspect.
