Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yay ita on the interview, and yay Jilli on finding such a good work situation.

Exactly what I was going to say!

Strix, your nemesis is bafflingly self-centered. I've known people like that and I can never understand them.

My sister's ex is like that. He's an absolute selfish adulterous shit and he thinks he's a great person and a great father and a great husband. Like, he says so. To the woman, mother of his children, whom he cheated on for years and left for his secretary, and fights for every penny of child support or shared retirement she's owed. It's just baffling. He's one of those people who believes he deserves to get whatever he wants just because he wants it, and everyone should be okay with that. (My sister was ranting about him last night, so he's fresh on my mind. She's 14 years older than me, and she started dating him in high school, so I've known the guy since I was two. I've thought he was a bastard since before I knew the word.)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My chiropractor want me to work while laying on my belly on the floor at least a couple of hours a day.

...how? I mean, won't you have to raise your shoulders and head up off the floor to read and type, or something?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Yes, Zen. He wants me in a position where I have to bend my neck back instead of being hunched over and losing the backward curve in my neck. I have a pillow under my chest and am up on my elbows.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Huh -- that makes sense. You work from home mostly, right? That's something, at least.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

That sounds great, ita--I'm glad things went well.

I may be a hot mess right now, but I'm a FIGHTING hot mess.

Damn right. Also, this would look great as a sampler.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

yay ita! Glad for the good interview. I hope you get the job (if you want it, that is).

The kids are watching a Clifford episode with a dog that only has three legs.

I desperately need a shower. We went to a doc appt and then the beach then went to Killer Shrimp for lunch. Been a good day so far.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, that was very nice. Someone just called me and interviewed me and I am clearly not tracking properly because I couldn't work out who they were either. But I think it went decently well, so fingers crossed I'll have two in person interviews coming up soon.

You rock these stealth interviews, ita. Maybe stop trying so hard.

ION, this was a day of onerousness, I just set up the disconnection of the phone number we've had for over 20 years. But it's mostly automated calls and wrong numbers anymore, and it just cut $60 off the monthly expenses.

Plus I did the monthly payment on the back taxes. I deserve some ice cream.

I'm glad you're getting interview traffic, ita!

On my way home, I had to pull over for multiple emergency vehicles and soon 3 choppers were circling overhead. A three year old girl was killed by a stray shot from a driveby 2 blocks west on Old York, goddamnit. [link]

I wouldn't characterize that area in decline.Struggling but on the upswing and then shit like this happens.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

That is horrible.
