As I recall, Kara once announced "I have 100% penis!" I hope I recall correctly, because I've been laughing about it ever since.
Gifts are hard. I don't even know what to get for people I know, most of the time.
I don't remember C0CKSICLES, though.
Here's some happy news. Some good friends had a baby girl yesterday.
Xyla Ashe Mayre Last Name-Last Name. A big moniker for a wee little girl. Her older sister is Jynx, and she totally pulls it off, so. But I have already asked if we can call her XAM!
(Smonster, you know her aunt Christina H-S.)
How do you pronounce Xyla?
In additional (small) good news, we found out yesterday that CJ will get his braces off at the end of the month. Of course, we had his senior pictures scheduled for next week, but I called and pushed the appointment out until after his ortho appointment. We thought it was going to be at least another 8 months of metal mouth.
How do you pronounce Xyla?
Zyla? Like the beginning of Xylophone?
Yay for baby Xyla!
Yay for getting rid of braces!
And of course, yay for 100% penis or 400% as the case may be!
Xyla and Jynx? What are they, scrabble nerds who want the most points?

I know, right? But Jynx now just means adorable little girl, so I expect Xyla will quickly do the same.
Oh, here's my favorite current name story: My cousin's baby is half Haitian, and her name is Solange. Apparently many, MANY Haitian women have told her how ugly that name is and how she should check with them next time. ("Such an ugly name for such a pretty girl!") I guess it's like the Hortense or whatever of Haiti -- not just an old lady name, but an unattractive old lady name!
