And the thing is, I like my evil like I like my men: evil. You know, straight up, black hat, tied to the train tracks, soon my electro-ray will destroy metropolis BAD.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Wishing all the best for Tickybox. I hope they work it out soon and it's easily addressed.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Best to Tickybox and fam!

Remember my friend from last Sunday, whom I waited with for a tow? She just had a total shitstorm of a week, culminating in her dog being euthanized on Friday... and her Mom unexpectedly dying yesterday.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Separately. Very interesting read.

"This is how you become a white supremacist." [link]

I knew this guy in high school. I mean this actual guy, not "guys like this". Not well, but our circles intersected. Boggling as it is to think about now, at that time and place "anti-racist skinheads" was a thing, or we thought it was, and it was painful and confusing to see how that (bizarre, wrong-headed) notion morphed into the real thing for some while others held to the radical lefty punk side of things.

ETA to be clear I was never part of this particular scene, more the gothy/punk side. But certainly I knew and hung out with s number of the "anti-racist skins". I have a feeling that book will be a hard read, though I'm already quite aware of how profoundly foolish it all was.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, brenda.

Oh, Theo, your poor friend!

I am trying to decide if I can actually try to take apart the pipes under my sink to unclog my disposal. I have successfully drained the water out, but not gotten to the point where the clog would be. I wonder if I actually have right tools....

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Also, it's currently pouring, but the neighbors seem to think it will stop by late afternoon, so we're still having a block party? Which means I should figure out what to contribute. I may just make a salad because I still have too many greens, but I bet I'm not alone in that...

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Theo, your poor friend; I'm so sorry.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Oh, Theo, your poor friend. That's just way too much shit at once.

I decided not to run this morning, and I'm going to clean house and do laundry, really. Once I get off the couch.

... but not yet.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

So much peace~ma to your friend, Theodosia. How heartbreaking.
